Who Should Attend

This course is for persons who will conduct internal audits of occupational health and safety management systems. It is based upon OHSAS 18001:1999 and ISO 19011:2002. The former is the "Occupational health and safety management systems--Specification." The latter is titled "Guidelines for quality and environmental management systems auditing." Participants will learn:

  • How the experts interpret each element of the specification
  • Techniques for effective auditing
  • How to establish and maintain an internal audit program

The course is taught by John Shideler, an OHSAS auditor (and RAB accredited EMS/QMS auditor), who serves as a US expert to ISO Technical Committee 207's Subcommittee 2, Auditing and related investigations. John also works as a subcontracted third-party auditor for three accredited registrars: ABS Quality Evaluations, Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, and NSF-ISR.

Course Package Includes:

  • A complete seminar coursebook
  • Copy of OHSAS 18001:1999, plus ISO 19011
