Who Should Attend

This course is for persons who will conduct internal audits of quality and/or environmental management systems. This course is based upon ISO 19011:2002, which replaced ISO 10011 (Guidelines for auditing quality systems) and ISO 14010, 14011, and 14012 (Guidelines for environmental auditing: General principles, Audit procedures, and Qualification criteria for environmental auditors). Participants will learn:

  • How the experts interpret each element of the standard
  • Techniques for effective auditing
  • How to establish and maintain an internal audit program

The course is offered in two versions: one for quality management systems auditing, the other for environmental management systems auditing. In special circumstances, a combined quality/environmental version can be offered.

The course is taught by John Shideler, an RAB accredited EMS/QMS auditor, who serves as a US expert to Subcommittee 2 of ISO Technical Committee 207, which maintains the ISO 14000 family of standards. John also works as a subcontracted third-party auditor for three accredited registrars: ABS Quality Evaluations, Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, and NSF-ISR.

Course Package Includes:

  • A complete seminar coursebook
  • Copy of ISO 19011, plus ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 (as applicable)
  • Certificate of completion from Futurepast
