Who Should Attend

This course is for persons who will conduct internal audits of quality management systems. It is based upon ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 19011:2002. The former is the third edition of ISO 9001, "Quality management systems--Requirements." The latter is titled "Guidelines for quality and environmental management systems auditing." Participants will learn:

  • How the experts interpret each element of the standard
  • Techniques for effective auditing
  • How to establish and maintain an internal audit program

The course is taught by John Shideler, an RAB accredited EMS/QMS auditor, who serves as a US expert to ISO Technical Committee 207's Subcommittee 2, Auditing and related investigations. John also works as a subcontracted third-party auditor for three accredited registrars: ABS Quality Evaluations, Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, and NSF-ISR.
