About John |
John Shideler has twenty-six years experience as an environmental consultant. He currently specializes in greenhouse gas management and has a broad background in environmental, health and safety management systems. His sectors of experience include oil, gas, and coal; manufacturing including chemicals and plastics; mining and metals; and transportation, among others. Mr. Shideler is a US expert to ISO Technical Committee 207 (Environmental Management Systems). He is co-chair of the US Technical Advisory Group's SubTAG 7 on Greenhouse Gas Management. He has represented the United States as a US Expert to Subcommittee 7 where he helped write ISO 14064 and ISO 14065. He also is a member of ASTM International's Environmental Committee E50. CSA America awarded its first "Certified Green House Gas Verifier" certificate to John Shideler in February 2009. He is also RABQSA-certified as an Environmental Lead Auditor and as a Lead Auditor for Responsible Care Management Systems, an environmental, safety, health and security management system developed by the American Chemistry Council. He serves as Greenhouse Gas Program Manager for NSF-ISR, an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based validation and verification body. Mr. Shideler provides greenhouse gas inventory management and project development consulting services in addition to environmental management, health and safety management services in the USA and worldwide. |

Mr. Shideler earned his PhD degree at the University of California, Berkeley. He is an associate member of the American Bar Association. |
